Engineer

Our engineering process is meticulously detailed, utilizing advanced 3D modelling software to perfect each aspect of the yacht’s design before construction begins. Quality Control

In steel, aluminium, and GRP yacht manufacturing, quality control is paramount to ensure the final product meets rigorous standards of safety, durability, and performance.

For steel and aluminium vessels, we use following quality control measures

  • Material Inspection

    Conducting thorough inspections of raw steel materials to check for defects or inconsistencies.

  • Welding Inspections

    Using non-destructive testing methods such as X-ray, ultrasonic testing, and dye penetrant testing to inspect welds for internal and surface defects.

  • Dimensional Checks

    Verifying the dimensions and tolerances of fabricated steel components against design specifications.

  • Surface Treatment

    Ensuring proper surface preparation and coating applications to prevent corrosion and enhance durability.

  • Load Testing

    Performing load tests on critical structural components to ensure they can withstand the required stresses. 

  • Alloy Verification

    Checking the chemical composition of aluminium alloys to ensure they meet specified standards.

For GRP vessels, we use following quality control measures

  • Material Inspection

    Inspecting the quality of resins, glass fibers, and other composite materials before use.

  • Lamination Inspection

    Checking the lamination process to ensure even distribution of resin and proper fiber alignment, often using ultrasonic testing.

  • Curing Process

    Monitoring the curing process to ensure optimal hardening of the composite materials.

  • Void and Inclusion Detection

    Using methods like thermography and ultrasound to detect voids, inclusions, and delamination within the GRP structure.

  • Adhesion Tests

    Conducting peel and adhesion tests to ensure the bond strength between layers of composite material.
